Workshop policies and general information

We have STOPPED requiring everyone to take a self COVID test the first day of the workshop before you come to class. Consider bringing an extra COVID self test with you to the workshop to test yourself during the workshop. We (Tony and Sue) have been vaccinated and boosted with the latest booster, but we will still be testing ourselves a couple of times during the workshop.

Prerequisites
Participants should have a working knowledge of exposure (f/stop and shutter speed) and know how to operate their equipment. Please bring a laptop computer with image editing software to prepare your images for critique.

General itinerary
Each day’s schedule varies according to which location we visit that day, how long we shoot and what the weather conditions are. We could photograph all day if conditions are right and then have more class time the following day. Questions and problems will be addressed in the field whenever possible, which is the most effective way to learn nature and landscape photography.

First night at 5 pm
Opening night presentation, Q&A’s, orientation (it would be a good idea to have dinner on your own before the opening meeting)

Days 2, 3, and 4
Photograph sunrise and/or early morning and late afternoon and/or sunset – and whenever the light is right. There will be presentations and critiques during the day.

Final morning
Photograph in the morning or have class time; discussion and final thoughts over breakfast. We should be finished by checkout time.
