March 29-April 2 - Charleston, SC
$895, limit 11
This is a wonderful historic city with numerous photo venues. We'll be spending our time photographing Magnolia Gardens, where we'll find explosions of colorful flowers and huge oak trees draped with moss, historic Charleston architecture, the famous Batterie Park along the waterfront, and bald cyprus swamps signal the beginning of spring time.

| April 19-23 - Great Smoky Mountains, TN |
| $895, limit 11 |
| |
This is the first of two consecutive workshops in the Smokies. This time frame should place us in the Smokies when dogwood are in bloom and the streams are beginning to run fully. Early spring skies can be quite dramatic, and fog rolls in and out of the landscape. Spring wildflowers are beginning to bloom, and we wouldn't be surprised if there is spring snow or hoar frost covering the mountain tops! There are layered mountain ridges and photogenic old historic settlements.

| April 26-30 - Great Smoky Mountains, TN |
| $895, limit 11 |
| |
During this time frame, the dogwood is beginning to fade, but wildflowers are more prolific and the streams are running a bit stronger. Warmer days and cool nights create low lying crisp ground fog in Cades Cove. The trees are beginning to fill with early spring lime green colored leaves. This is the best time for digital infrared and for colorful spring reflections!

*NEW* HDR Heaven Workshop |
Eastern State Penitentiary
- Philadelphia PA |
Session I - August 21-23 FULL
Session II - August 28-30 FULL
|
$425, limit 10
Eastern State Penitentiary is a national monument, a wonderful and graphic venue, and the location used in our new HDR DVD. This location provides texture and detail perfect for HDR: the colorful, cracked paint, rusty prison cell doors, towering guard towers, even Al Capone’s “lavish” cell. The photo ops are tremendous and subject to interesting compositional and software driven interpretations. There will be an opening evening presentation on HDR to get you ready to hit the ground running the next day. We’ll shoot from 10 am until mid-afternoon on Saturday, and I’ll be working with everyone individually on location. After dinner, we’ll have class time to work on processing and technique. Sunday morning we’ll critique the images have a final Q &A.
Price includes location instruction, software training, critique session, admission fees, and special access area fee.

| September
6-10 - Digital Edge - Software/HDR |
Take your images to the next level!
$1500, limit 5 Great Smoky Mtns., TN |
| |
We will be out photographing every day, but will reserve ample class time to work on images using ACR (Adobe Camera Raw), Aperture, NikSoftware plug-ins, Helicon Focus, and Photomatix HDR software. Discussions will be conducted at each location on how to “shoot for the software” and pre-visualizing the final results, which may not be readily apparent when viewing a scene.
September is a well kept secret as being a tremendous pre-fall time to shoot in the Smokies.
There should be ample fog and wet, dewy mornings, and there should be no crowds!
